Therapy for Children and Adolescents ages 3-17

Children process situations differently than adults and experience many different stages of life but may not be able to express their feelings due to fear, not feeling comfortable, respect or not wanting to anger or disappoint loved ones. I value the importance and effectiveness of involving families in treatment, leading to better outcomes. I understands that unpacking feelings in a safe space and addressing them can help clients process, heal, and thrive.

I wholeheartedly understands the need for a counselor to be able to meet clients where they are and strives to make clients' therapeutic journey as comfortable as possible. My approach is culturally sensitive and LGBTQ+ inclusive. I offer a safe space for clients to express themselves and feel heard, without judgement, utilizing humor, a down-to-earth personality and a direct, yet gentle approach in my work with clients. With compassion, empathy, honesty, and patience, I can help clients work through issues while identifying their inner strengths to be a happier and healthier version of themselves.

  • Kristian earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Prior to her time at Indigo Therapy and Wellness, she worked in outpatient psychiatry, as well as the Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting.

  • $140 45–50 minute Individual Session

    $150 45-50 minute Intake Session

    $180 60-minute Family Session

    *Sliding-Scale: So that clients can receive support when they need it most, I offer a sliding-scale rate that works with your budget and financial situation. Please contact me for additional information on how fees are determined and structured before your first session.

    *For court-related cases, or if information is obtained for the purpose of rendering an expert's report to an attorney: $300 per hour
