Savannah Cooper, MFT
Pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I support adults and adolescent girls through life’s major transitions.
For adults this may look like navigating fertility, pregnancy, parenthood, midlife changes, perimenopause and menopause, grief and loss, job or relationship shifts, or the challenges of caring for aging parents.
For adolescent girls, this may mean powerful identity shifts, intense emotions, and discovery of your own voice.
I provide a safe, compassionate space where clients of all ages can explore feelings, relationships, challenges, and self-reflection without judgment.
At any age, life can bring anxiety, depression, or a sense of being dysregulated. Instead of pushing them away, I view difficult feelings as meaningful messages from the unconscious— invitations to explore what Psyche, or Soul, may be trying to express through symptoms.
As for grief, I believe the only way out is through. Grief asks to be witnessed and honored — it’s not something to escape, but a way of staying connected to what or whom we have loved. Together, we can create space for grief to be both deeply felt and gently released.
My approach is depth-oriented and Jungian at its heart, drawing on dreams, symbols, and imagination as portals for healing and growth. I trust each person’s innate wisdom to guide the process — and I welcome both reflection and moments of laughter in the work we do.
I celebrate diversity and welcome clients of all backgrounds and life stories. My hope is that therapy offers not only relief from pain, but also a rich and meaningful life, guided by inner wisdom.
I hold a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute (2008) in Santa Barbara, California, as well as a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Women’s Studies from The University of Texas at Austin (2001). Prior to working at Indigo Therapy and Wellness, I worked with children, teens, and adults at Sierra Family Services in Lake Tahoe. I am currently working toward full licensure under the supervision of Dr. Edna Abney and under the direction of Alexis Wright.
I offer therapy through telehealth sessions only, providing
services to clients throughout the state of Georgia.
